🏉 𝕐𝕖𝕒𝕣 𝟟 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝟠 ℝ𝕦𝕘𝕓𝕪 𝕦𝕡𝕕𝕒𝕥𝕖 🏉 On Thursday the 26th of March for the last set of games of the season 25/26 took place for our years 7 and 8 teams. Both squads went to Trinity, with the 7s playing a mini tournament with Trinity, Newman and William Howard and the 8s playing Trinity in a straight single game. A great afternoon with lots of pupils taking part and enjoying the game of Rugby! 🏉 There was some great rugby on show and it was fantastic to see so many pupils playing, some had done previous and some never before which is really positive. The 7’s found the games tough but kept going and played some nice rugby, the 8’s demonstrated just what could be achieved if all players play, it was a great game with loads of tries! Central edging this one 8 to 6. So that is it for rugby this year, with an amazing total of over 50 games played! With the numbers and displays we have seen this season, were are very much looking forward to September. 🏏 Now onto CRICKET – training Thursdays and nets Friday lunch time!!! 🏏 Mr Barratt #SportAtCentral #Rugby #Ambition #Resilience #Respect
🔯 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟴 𝗥𝗦 🔯 Tullie House visit On Wednesday, we took 32 year 8 students to an exhibition at tulliecarlisle showing the contribution of Hindu Civilisation to India and the world. Students heard a talk from Rashmi, a local Hindu and completed a quiz based around what they had learnt during the visit. A very informative and interesting session which deepened students understanding around Hindu history and culture, linking to their current learning in lessons. Our students were fantastic representatives of the school throughout, with a special shout out going to Noah, who engaged well throughout asking lots of thought provoking questions! #ReligiousStudies #TullieCarlisle #Ambition #Respect #Resilience
🤸 𝔹𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕤𝕙 𝔾𝕪𝕞𝕟𝕒𝕤𝕥𝕚𝕔𝕤 ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕞𝕡𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤 🤸 🥇 Last week, A mixed team of Year 8 students 𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗮 and 𝗔𝘃𝗮 came first in the U13s mixed event on 6th March. The event consisting of both floor and vault work. 🥇 With the scores added together, our team finished two marks ahead of second place. 🥈 They also came home with a Regional Silver medal for their score added to another school from the North Region and a Bronze for all U13 gymnasts from the North. 🥉 A special shoutout to 𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗻 as he was the highest scoring boy of all U13s that competed at the National Finals! On Saturday 7th March, U16s mixed team of Year 7 students; 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝘂𝘀, 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘆, 𝗧𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘆 and 𝗙𝗮𝘆𝗲 came away with a Regional Bronze medal. A great achievement as this team competed against students from an older age group. 🥉 Another set of massive achievements for our school team, with all students representing the academy impeccably throughout! 👏🏼 These achievements are even more impressive to consider that the majority of the schools that competed at these finals were from private schools from around the country! #NationalChampions #Gymnastics #Ambition #Resilience #Respect
I like the school because there is no bullying and the teachers help you when you are stuck with your work Year 7 Student
