A Warm Welcome to Central Academy

🇫🇷 𝙿𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚜 𝚝𝚛𝚒𝚙 𝟸𝟶𝟸𝟼 🇫🇷 We have returned from what was an absolutely amazing weekend in Paris with our wonderful Year 10 students. An amazing day adventuring around the heart of the city, climbing the Eiffel Tower, a boat cruise down the Seine and shopping on the Champs Elysees. A wonderful day immersing ourselves in Parisian culture before returning to our beautiful base the Chateau de Grande Romanie for a quiz and swimming. On Sunday, we headed for an amazing day at Disneyland Paris, a non-stop day of rides, parades and photo opportunities before the pièce de résistance, the amazing fireworks and light show to round off what was an amazing weekend. A fantastic experience, which made two very long travel days so worthwhile. Our students have been absolutely amazing, with many being praised for their wonderful attitude and the French they used communicating with the locals. One thing we can certainly say is 𝓃ℴ𝓊𝓈 𝒶𝒹ℴ𝓇ℴ𝓃𝓈 𝒫𝒶𝓇𝒾𝓈 💙🤍❤️ A huge thank you to the team at PGL Schools and Groups (Official) for their fantastic support throughout the trip and Stu and Angela from Weardale Motor Services Ltd for everything throughout the weekend. #Paris2026 #ImmersiveEducation #Ambition #Respect #Resilience

✍️ 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝘀 ✍️ 22nd June - 3rd July 2026 Please note that in a calendar months’ time Yr 10 will be sitting their first ‘Mock Exam’ series between Monday 22nd of June and Friday the 3rd of July. That gives our students four weeks to prepare thoroughly for this series as these exams set the standard for their final months of school in Yr 11. The results from this series will determine their classes and sets for Yr 11 which will have a direct affect on the papers they sit this time next year and ultimately the grades they will get next August. To support them in this process we have given them support with the most effective revision methods and the ‘Central Power Hour’. We have also collated revision materials for the examined subjects which are accessible to parents and students alike these can be found on our website and a link will be sent to all concerned.
