🏆 𝗨𝟭𝟯 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝗻 🏆 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘺 𝘤𝘶𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳 8 𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴 Tonight we were back in action with our U13 Girls team. This time facing Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in the first round of the County Cup. A confident 8-0 win from the girls in red. With team captain 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗙 bagging 4 great goals, Player of the match was 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗮 𝗕 with 2 goals, a special shout of to 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗵 𝗢 and 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮 𝗠 who also bagged a goal! 👏🏼 A great all round performance with the girls now can looking forward to the next round after the half term break! #SportAtCentral #CountyCup #SportingSuccess #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

⚽️ 𝕌𝟙𝟚’𝕤 𝔾𝕚𝕣𝕝𝕤 ℂ𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕪 ℂ𝕦𝕡 ⚽️ 𝘊𝘶𝘱 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳 7 𝘨𝘪𝘳𝘭𝘴 𝘝𝘴. 𝘊𝘢𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘸 Despite a spirited and determined performance, our year 7 girls football team sadly faced defeat in their first run out in the U12 county cup tonight, against a strong Caldew side. This relatively new side worked tirelessly to get something out of the game, and huge credit to them for not giving up and showing spells creating chances. Player of the match was awarded to 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻 𝗦, for a solid first half defensive shift and cracking 2nd half as GK. 🎓 𝓐𝓵𝓾𝓶𝓷𝓲 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓶𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓱 🎓 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰 𝗛- Central class of 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 Each month we hope to be able to share some of our wonderful ex-students with our Central Community, celebrating their successes! Our alumni of the month for October is 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰. Since leaving the Academy, Marc followed his passion and is now a professional boxer, having recently been signed with VIP Boxing Promotions. Marc always loved PE at school and enjoyed trying different sports and finding out what he was good at. He began boxing as a hobby in KS4, training with Carlisle Villa Amateur Boxing Club. From then his boxing has gone from strength to strength, being professionally signed for this year. Marc often pops back into Central to speak to staff and students, happy to support the current Central students and share his experiences. Marc has always been proud of being part of the Central Community.
