A Warm Welcome to Central Academy

🏫 𝕐𝕖𝕒𝕣 𝟝 ℙ𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤 ℂ𝕠𝕗𝕗𝕖𝕖 𝕄𝕠𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘𝕤 🏫 𝘞𝘦𝘥𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘥𝘢𝘺 8𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘥𝘢𝘺 9𝘵𝘩 𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘺 Mr Markham would like to welcome the parents / carers of year 5 students to join our coffee mornings on Wednesday 8h and Thursday 9th July at 9.15am. This is an opportunity for you to have a tour of the Academy facilities, to meet our students and staff and get a feel for a typical working day at Central. Mr Markham will give a presentation on his plans for Central moving forwards and there will be the chance to talk to key members of staff from the pastoral, SEND and primary transition teams. 𝘼𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙙𝙖𝙮, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 5 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 5 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣. In September our full open evening will give students the chance to come in and experience all we have to offer. We have had lots of bookings for our upcoming coffee mornings this week, with very limited spaces remaining. 🏏 𝕌𝟙𝟜’𝕤- ℂ𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕥𝕪 ℂ𝕣𝕚𝕔𝕜𝕖𝕥 𝕋𝕠𝕦𝕣𝕟𝕒𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥 🏏 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟵! A big well done to our Year 9 mixed team who attended the county cricket tournament at Edenside on Thursday. Our team took 2 wins from 3 games, a huge feat for a new and developing team, with a lot of the squad playing some of their first games! Cricket is definitely growing at Central and it’s amazing to see! A huge shout out to Mr Barratt for his hard work in growing the sport across the academy and our students for their growing dedication to representing the academy! 🙌🏼 #SportAtCentral #Cricket #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

⛰️ 𝓨𝓮𝓪𝓻 7 𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓭𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓲𝓪𝓵 ⛰️ Yesterday, we returned from another fantastic three day visit to Langdale for our Year 7 residential with 90 of our legendary students. We had a brilliant few days out in the lakes with lots of activities including abseiling, raft building, cave walks and jetty jumping (or pushing when Mr Skelton and Mr Armstrong are involved). All of this alongside team building activities, getting to grips with our natural environment, lots of food, Mrs Nelson’s famous karaoke and an England win on the big screen! It was absolutely wonderful to see our students pushing their limits and going well outside of their comfort zones!
